Tracking of direct-links

When creating a direct-link you don't need to sacrifice tracking. While it is possible to leave the "name" field in the dialogue empty - you can also enter a meaningful identifier to keep track of when and by whom the link has been clicked.

In the previous article we entered a name "Volker Ansmann" as our identifier. If this direct link is clicked and the file is downloaded - you will see the download in the file and in analytics like this:
