Overview

Why is scoopa much faster in upload speed than other file transfer solutions?

scoopa is on the top of speed if it comes to file transfer solutions which do not need hardware or software.
scoopa can use >90% of your internet bandwith even with very hughe connections.
This is because we use multiple uploads in your browser at the same time (but you see only one).
Another reason is that the datacenters are fully scalable in internet-connection-bandwith and server-performance.

Can scoopa transcode my uploads to a certain format?

Yes. But this is a custom feature.

How can i check if the file was uploaded without any failure or loss of data?

During the upload scoopa is doing md5-checksum calculations to ensure the data/integrity (copy fidelity).
If an error in an uploaded part is detected - the affected part will be re-uploaded.

If scoopa finishes an upload - you can be sure it's a 100% copy of your local file.

Is it possible to upload more than one file at a time?

Yes! Just select all files within a folder on a your harddrive. scoopa will start multiple uploads in a queue.

My internet connection was interrupted - can i resume the upload?

Yes you can!

In between a window of 48hours the upload will resume.

Please see also the guide Resuming an Upload

I had to change my workspace during upload and therefore the IP changed during upload - can i resume?

Yes you can!

In between a window of 48hours the upload will resume.

Please see also the guide Resuming an Upload

Is there an alternative to the web-uploader?

Yes. You can deliver your Assets directly to an S3-Bucket attached to your Platform.

Direct-Cloud-Ingest. WTF?

Beginning from May 2018 you can choose to upload your Assets to an S3 Bucket that is bound to your scoopa-platform.

Files will be automatically ingested to your platform using an intelligent name-convention:

scoopa-folder-id_your-filename.your-extension

Files that comply with this convention are automatically put in the right folder and Notifications are sent - just as with the Web-Uploader.

All other Files are placed in the Mailbox and Administrators are notified.
